The pool is not heated and is too cold to use in early July. There is also a lot of golf cart traffic, making it dangerous to walk or ride bikes. On the plus side, there is a great bike trail 11 miles long at the nearby State Park. The campground offers a free weekend for your next trip if you mention the power outage when checking out.
