What others are saying about this campground
Trough Creek Campground is a rustic escape nestled in a beautiful park surrounding Trough Creek Gorge. The campground offers gravel drives/roads, plenty of room for big rigs, and all sites are level with partial shade. There is no cell service or OTA TV, but fresh water is available and there is a dump station about 2 miles away. The campground is peaceful and quiet, with plenty of space between sites. There is a nice hike up above a creek with a huge rock that appears ready to fall over the cliff with a simple touch, and there are a ton of trails to explore. The bathroom has no lights or sink, and the campground is small with basic amenities. Spiders greet you at the entrance, and bug spray is recommended due to mosquitoes. It is a great spot to rough it and light a fire with the kids, and it is close to Raystown Lake for boating.

From The Campground
Trough Creek State Park is a 541-acre scenic gorge formed as Great Trough Creek cuts through Terrace Mountain before emptying into Raystown Lake. The park offers hiking trails that lead to wonders like Balanced Rock and Rainbow Falls. Rothrock State Forest and Raystown Lake border the park, making a large, contiguous area of public land for recreation.
