Shenango Recreation Area is a great campground for those looking for a peaceful and private camping experience. With 330 sites, there is a range of options to choose from, including electric, lakefront non-electric, other non-electric, and multiple family sites. All sites are nicely spaced apart and surrounded by mature trees, providing plenty of shade and privacy. There are water spigots located throughout the loops and a two-lane dump station near the entrance. Unfortunately, there is no potable water or showers available. The campground is very quiet at night and there is little ambient light from any roads, making it a great spot for stargazing. Check-in is quick and simple and camp hosts are located throughout the loops. Park Rangers and Camp Hosts are helpful and friendly. The campground is great for walking, biking, and boating on the lake. There are also plenty of amenities nearby, including brand name shops, Walmart, chain restaurants, car wash, and more. Please note that there is no alcohol allowed in the park.
