Shady Rest Campground is a very pleasant, quiet camping destination thats heavily wooded with steep hillside terrain. Many of the sites are odd-shaped, which might make parking your RV a bit tricky. The campground is located in a forested area which makes it even more pleasant to stay in, especially during the spring months. However, you might notice a few scraps of metal and plastic lying around some campsite areas. The facilities need a bit of TLC, yet they are accessible. One minor issue to note is that the Wi-Fi is a bit shaky. On the other hand, the owners are lovely people who are friendly and welcoming. The campground is at a great location, just 5 km off the I-81 exit.
