Allegheny National Forest campground is the perfect destination for those looking for a peaceful and secluded getaway. Nestled in the forest, the campground offers spacious and clean sites with plenty of wildlife to observe. The campground is close to towns like Warren and Youngsville, hiking trails, the PA Visitors Center, and the Allegheny River for kayaking and other activities. The sites are widely spaced and private, with low, round fire rings, potable water at the dump station, and a new, clean restroom and shower building. There is also a walking trail that circles the campground and follows the river, as well as a boat launch area for canoes and kayaks. With lots of activities to do in the area, this is the perfect place to relax and feel one with nature.

From The Campground

Buckaloons Recreation Area is a beautiful campground located in Allegheny National Forest. The campground offers a variety of amenities including a children’s play area, picnic tables, pavilion with electric service accommodating up to 50 people, small amphitheater, horse-shoe pits, single lane concrete plank boat launch, and self-service pay station. The campground is suitable for easy level boating activities, both motorized and non-motorized. The boat launch is not suitable for larger boats. Trailer parking is available. Fuel availability and marina/mooring services are not available. The campground is not suitable for large craft. The picnic area is located by the boat launch area. Visitors can enjoy picnicking and other recreational activities. Northern Goshawks are protected endangered species and feeding wildlife is prohibited. Pest Alert: Spotted Lanternfly. Please do not bring firewood on to the ANF! Forest Road 457 Closed. Don't Pick the Ginseng.
