Check-in time is at 4 pm, which can be annoying if there are local campers waiting until the last minute to leave. The staff is only available a few hours a day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The park offers boating, fishing, disc golfing, hiking, picnicking, and swimming. Winter activities, including ice fishing, ice boating, cross-country skiing, and ice skating are also popular. The park has a campground, group tenting areas, yurts, cottages, cabins, and pavilions available for overnight stays.
