Mohegan Sun Pocono is a great boondocking site for motorbikes and RVs. It offers a shuttle service to the door of the casino and back home again. The parking lot is a little sloped, but otherwise it is a perfect overnight stopover. The casino shuttle will pick you up for a ride to the front entrance, although you could also walk if youre feeling up to it. There are plenty of restaurants in the casino, as well as a Walmart in Wilkes Barre PA, so you have plenty of options. The parking lot is pretty unlevel, but if you drive around youll find some spots. Security is excellent and the lot is safe and clean. You should park in the lot proper, away from the edges and from trucks, as they leave their motors on all night. It can get busy and noisy, especially with the tribute band to Bon Jovi, but it is still a great, safe stop in the mountains.
