What others are saying about this campground
This campground is located in a remote area of Pennsylvania, and was recently reopened in June 2020 after a two-year renovation. The campground features newly renovated roads, sites, and a bath house, as well as full hookups and water hook-ups. There is no cell service in the area, but there are 10 OTA channels. The campground is bordered by a public road, so there may be some traffic from loud pickups and frack trucks. There is no lake in the park due to a nearby coal company undermining it, but the PADCNR is working to make the park an attraction with a cold water swimming pool and a new swimming pool water park a few miles away. There are several trails in the park for hiking and exploring, and the night sky is very dark for stargazing. The campground is on a first come, first served system and reservations are recommended. Be aware of the narrow, winding roads and the almost backward turn you must make to access the campground.
