This campground is located in a convenient location for day trips to Newport and Providence. It offers full hook up 30 amp sites, level pull throughs, gravel driveways, and grassy sites with picnic tables. Power is supplied by a generator and there is a sewage connection pipe in the ground. Water is not usable for 8 days at a time and must be boiled prior to use. The nightly rate is $45 with an extra $10 for the Memorial Holiday weekend. The roads are rough with large boulder tops that you drive over. The grass sites are burnt out and dusty due to the dry year. There are lots of empty sites around making for a roomy stay. The office manager took over 1 1/2 hours for lunch mowing and the seasonal campers were helpful in getting us into a site. There is no security and electric goes out very often. Little children are running loose all around the campground and pool area with no adults. The pool is not usable and when complaints are made to management, they are told they are not being forced to stay.
