This campground is a great spot for exploring Newport and the surrounding area. Located off the base, the campground offers 6 side-by-side sites with water and electric hookups. There are no sewer hookups or showers, but there is a dump station nearby for a fee. The campground is full sun with no shade and the views of Narragansett Bay are spectacular. The campground is also conveniently located close to a walkable beach and only 20 minutes from downtown Newport. There is a recreation area next to the campground and the staff at the main base rec center are very helpful. The price is very reasonable for the area, and there is no extra charge for children. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the Newport area.

From The Campground
Carr Point RV Park offers 6 RV Spots varying in length from 65 to 85 feet (12.5 to 15.5 feet wide) back-in sites offer water and electric utilities offered on bluestone gravel sites. Each site can provide 30/50 amperage power. Open from Memorial Day Weekend through October. Reservations are required and are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis beginning after April 1st each year. To make a reservation, download the reservation form then email the completed form in. There is a maximum stay of 14 days, and the six sites that include water and electricity. Patrons are responsible maintaining cleanliness of site. Pets are allowed as long as they are kept under control and patron clean up after them.
