The Shores of Asbury RV Resort is located on beautiful Lake Hartwell in Anderson SC. The brain child of a local female who left Anderson in the eighties to pursue her passion in music. Karen Alayne played drums and bass guitar with many artist such as Tommy and Johnny Cash, Stella, Cece Winans, Leslie West, BB King, EG Kight, Bobby G Rice, Whispering Bill Anderson, and many more. She came back to her home town with a dream to open a RV park which would offer not only a plethora of amenities never offered in the area but also offer a music stage, full service restaurant, and water park. The Shores of Asbury is just a little over a year old but is rapidly becoming known as the place to be on Lake Hartwell. Karen Alayne brought in white sugar sand from Pensacola Beach Florida to have South Carolinas largest inland white sand beach. Combine the sand with cabanas and lounge chairs and you feel you are seaside without worrying about sharks or jellyfish. Holidays are always fun and the staff goes out of their way to make sure something is happening to allow all to enjoy your special holiday. Halloween festivities include haunted trail hayrides, costume contest, site decorations contest, a mini carnival, bon fire, a monster mash dance, golf parade, train rides, pumpkin carving competitions and many more activities. New Year's Eve boast a bass drop at midnight and an evening full of live music, great food, adult beverages, and dancing. The Shores also is fastly becoming known as the one stop for weddings, corporate events, family gathering, and a magical place to celebrate your birthday.
