From The Campground
Woods Ferry Recreation Area is a beautiful wooded floodplain surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. It offers a variety of activities such as picnicking, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, and camping. The location on the Broad River makes fishing and boating easily accessible. The campground has 17 family campsites with tables and grills, and horses are allowed in designated sites. Two group campsites are available, and site 10 has horse corrals. The campground has centrally located water spigots during open season and vault toilets. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required to fish on the National Forests. The stay is limited to 14 days, and there is no day-use parking for horse trailers at the picnic area day use parking lot.
