H. Cooper Black Jr. Memorial Field Trial and Recreation Area is a 7,000-acre park located in Cheraw, South Carolina. The park is known for hosting national-level field trial and retriever competitions. It offers more than 20 miles of equestrian trails, stables, kennels, corrals, and arenas, making it one of the most equestrian-friendly parks in South Carolina. The park also features 27 camping sites with water and electrical hookups, primitive campsites, a meeting hall, a waterfowl pond, and playgrounds. Visitors can rent ponds for fishing or dog training, and fields for retriever training. The park is open 24 hours a day, and admission is $3 for adults, $1.50 for SC seniors, and $1 for children aged 6-15. Pets are allowed but must be voice command controlled or kept on a leash or in a kennel while in the camping area or within 1/4 mile of the camping area. Wifi is available.
