Mordor Campground is a basic, secluded campground with unfinished upgrades in progress. It is located near the historic city of Georgetown, SC, and is conveniently close to restaurants and beaches. It is known for its fishing and crabbing from the dock, and is a great place to stay for a night. The campground is secure, and the camp host are helpful and friendly. The sites are nice sized, and there is plenty of room for a screen tent. Unfortunately, there is no cable or internet provided, and the pool is not cleaned on a regular basis. The road in and out of the park is 3/4 of a mile long and dirt, so when it rains it can be difficult to drive on. Additionally, the cabins are not well kept and you need to bring your own toilet paper and sheets. Be aware that there have been reports of a worker who abuses his animals and is a felon, as well as a neighbor who threatened to shoot someone and their dog. The manager has also taken extra money out of peoples accounts without permission.

Hidden Marina Campground is the perfect hideaway from the crowded high rise strips but still close enough to partake in all the fun! The waterfront cabins offer stunning views of the marina and the Sampit river with rice grass and forest across from your cabin. On-site marina gives you instant access to the water and just a short ride to Historic Downtown Georgetown Harbor. Georgetown is the mecca of fishing on the Atlantic coast. Hidden Marina Campground is the home of Block O Charters.
