Foster Creek RV Park is a great budget-friendly campground located just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. It is the perfect place for a couple days stay or a base camp for a longer trip. The park has wide open, long sites with full hookups, and is close to a neighborhood Walmart and gas station with diesel. It is also within 30-45 minutes of beaches, Mount Pleasant, and Charleston, as well as several great places to eat and drink in the Olde North Charleston/Park Circle area. Unfortunately, the bathrooms and showers are currently unavailable, but this should not be an issue for those with campers. The campground is restricted to military personnel, but if you qualify, it is a great spot to visit Charleston. The park has older concrete back-in sites, and is very quiet and clean. There is a large dog run in the base housing, and a hiking trail with warnings about hunting. There is also a bike park with confidence-building obstacles for trail and mountain bikers. The campground is unsecured, but still has all the usual amenities, such as a commissary, shoppette, pool, gym, auto hobby shop, and bowling alley. The camp host is very friendly and helpful, and the campground is in need of some repairs, such as the playground, roads, and fire pit area. The only downside is the smell from the Kapstone Paper Mill.
