Weston Lake Recreation Area in Hopkins, SC is a quiet and peaceful campground that offers easy access from 77 south of Columbia to Leesburg Rd. The campground has full hook-ups on level concrete pads and big shady sites with a great view. The facilities, including clean restrooms and a beach next to the office, are well maintained. Activities such as kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boating are also available for rent. However, it is important to note that navigation can be an issue as Apple Maps may take visitors through Post – instead, it is recommended to set navigation to 4420 Leesburg Road. While there are some areas for improvement such as trash pickup and fire ant control, we would still recommend Weston Lake Recreation Area for its friendly staff and camp hosts, as well as the overall peaceful atmosphere.

From The Campground
Weston Lake Recreation Area offers a variety of camping options including cabins, RV sites, and primitive sites. Most cabins are located on the waterfront and come fully stocked with sheets, bedspreads, and towels. The campground also features a community house that can accommodate up to 400 guests, picnic shelters, and a range of outdoor activities such as sand volleyball, playgrounds, and self-powered watercraft rentals. Swimming is available at your own risk as there are no lifeguards on duty. Fishing and boating are allowed year-round.
