Guests can enjoy breathtaking views from the nearby overlook tower, as well as the thousands of tiny crabs walking the ground. The campground is conveniently located within walking distance of Publix, and is only 20 minutes from attractions like the convention center, Angel Oak tree, Drayton Hall, and Middleton Gardens. The campground features large shade trees, a very quiet park, and fire rings for rent from the front office. However, the campground is located near a busy street with loud truck noise, and there is heavy traffic when turning left out of the park entrance. There are also speed bumps to keep drivers from going too fast. Despite these drawbacks, Oak Plantation is a great home base for exploring the sights, food, and history of the area.

Oak Plantation Campground is a family-owned and operated campground located in Charleston, SC. It has been welcoming campers for over 45 years and is just minutes away from Charleston’s historic plantations, downtown historic district, shopping, golf, and beaches. The campground offers over 200 campsites, clean & modern facilities, a park-like setting, pool & convenience store, and is one of the closest campgrounds to Charleston.
