GenieSummary

It is heavily shaded and has multiple nature trails, a small lake for fishing or kayaking/canoeing, and a playground. The sites are paved and most have a slight slope that will require levelers or blocks. There is a museum, a replica one room schoolhouse, an old meeting hall and church, as well as some structures from the CCC era. It is a great spot for a short weekend trip, as it is only 30 minutes away from Charlotte, NC. The roads are tight and navigation with a larger RV may be difficult, but the park personnel are very helpful and eager to assist with leveling the trailer and getting materials to block it. The campground is small and quiet, with paved sites featuring crushed stone where the picnic table and fire ring are. There is a small 18 acre lake with plenty of people fishing and the sites are wooded and sloped for the most part. The campground is also close to the Landsford Canal State Park, making it a great spot to explore the Upstate SC history.
