It is a great spot for a short weekend trip, as it is only 30 minutes away from Charlotte, NC. The roads are tight and navigation with a larger RV may be difficult, but the park personnel are very helpful and eager to assist with leveling the trailer and getting materials to block it. The campground is small and quiet, with paved sites featuring crushed stone where the picnic table and fire ring are. There is a small 18 acre lake with plenty of people fishing and the sites are wooded and sloped for the most part. The campground is also close to the Landsford Canal State Park, making it a great spot to explore the Upstate SC history.

Andrew Jackson State Park offers camping facilities with individual water and electrical hookups. The campground has 25 standard sites with electric and water hookups, 5 paved sites that can accommodate RVs up to 36 feet, and 20 gravel sites that can accommodate RVs up to 30 feet. The park also has a primitive group camping area that can accommodate up to 50 people. The park is pet-friendly and offers amenities such as restrooms with hot showers.
