From The Campground
Baker Creek State Park is a serene lakeside camping destination located in rural McCormick County, South Carolina. The park offers 34 campsites for RVs or tents, two picnic shelters, a covered pavilion that can accommodate up to 160 people, and a mile-long Wild Mint Nature Trail. The park is also home to 10 miles of rolling, loop trails that take bikers through oak and pine woodlands. Visitors can enjoy boating and fishing on the 71,100-acre Lake Thurmond, which is easily accessible from the park. Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet.
