This campground is located on the shores of Lake Marion, offering easy access to the lake for fishing, boating, and other water sports. There is a separate boat ramp and fish cleaning station, as well as a swimming pool and horseshoe pit. There is also a swing set for younger children, and large grassy areas to play in. The campground has a sense of community and is quiet at night. Many of the campers are full-timers and spend their time on the lake. The RV parking is one step away from a gravel lot and the sites are natural ground sites with hookups. The campground is close to the town of Santee and the Wildlife Preserve, and just over 5 miles from the State Park. There is a small laundry room and bath house, and WiFi is available by the office. The park is in the process of updating and improving the bathrooms and some of the sites. There are no fire rings or picnic tables at the sites. The campground is a great value and a good place to relax and enjoy the lake.
