Oconee Point Campground is a 70-acre campground located in the northern section of Hartwell Dam & Lake area on the South Carolina side of the lake. It features a dense cover of pines and mixed hardwoods, 1 gatehouse/entrance, 2 park attendant campsites, 70 public use camp sites with full water and electric hookups, 5 comfort stations (3 with showers), 1 dump station, 1 boat ramp, 1 courtesy dock, 2 playgrounds, 1 designated swim area/beach, and associated paved roads and parking areas throughout. The sites are generously sized, well kept, and many are waterfront with stunning views. The campground is usually quiet, but can get noisy during football season due to its close proximity to Clemson. It is also close to Seneca and Anderson, providing plenty of nearby grocery stores, restaurants, and other attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the campground is well-maintained and clean. There is no cable or WiFi, but good over the air TV reception. This is a great place to camp for those looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway.
