South Cove County Park is a beautiful campground located on the shores of Lake Keowee. It offers 88 RV sites and camping spots, connected by a causeway, with stunning views of the lake and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The park has a boat launch, swimming hole, picnic area, and campground, and is well maintained and clean. The park store offers lots of items to explore, and there is great ATT coverage throughout the campground. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the campground is very level. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as kayaking, pickleball, and walking around the mile loop. The lakefront sites offer a great opportunity to kayak right from your site, and the sunrises and sunsets over the mountains are a sight to behold. The campground can get busy on the weekends, and some of the sites are awkwardly placed and close to each other. The bathhouse in the center could use some improvements, and there are a lot of geese in the campground, leaving their droppings everywhere. There is also a lot of dog poop in the campground, and some people dont pick up after their dogs. The first night we were there, we were awoken by loud music at 11:45 pm. Despite these drawbacks, South Cove County Park is a great place to relax and enjoy the lake.
