This campground is the perfect destination for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Located close to beaches and stores, the campground offers a lovely boardwalk running through it and is less than 3 miles from a well preserved revolutionary war fort, secret beach, and some of the best oysters and shrimp you can find. The price is reasonable for a basic campground and the people are friendly and helpful. The campground also offers a unique water slide and basketball court, as well as hiking and fishing opportunities. It is close to Hunting Island State Park and beach access and within 15 minutes to stunning historical downtown Beaufort. The staff are hospitable and will escort you to your large, shady pull thru site. There is also an excellent playground for kids and several nature trails throughout the park, including a resident alligator in the pond.

Tuck in the Wood Campground and RV Park is located on St. Helena Island, one of the South Carolina Lowcountry's most beautiful islands. The campground is nestled in a serene, natural setting and offers a wide variety of water activities, including shell fishing and sport fishing. Visitors can also learn about the history of St. Helena Island by visiting the Penn Center complex and museum or by taking a Gullah Tour. The campground is conveniently located 15 minutes from historic Beaufort and 45 minutes from Hilton Head Island. Tuck in the Wood Campground is open year-round and offers monthly 'snowbird' rates.
