Chau-Ram Campground is a beautiful 25-site campground located in the SC mountains near the Georgia border. It is suitable for tents, pop-ups, and smaller RVs. The campground is built on a hill, so the walk to the campsites can be a bit tough. There are plenty of hiking trails, waterfalls, and rapids, as well as a spot to swim or tube in the river at your own risk. The park also has a great playground and a waterfall of its own. The facilities are clean and the park ranger is very helpful and friendly. There is no code to get out at night, and the gates close at 8. The sites are on the smaller side, and there is no privacy between them. There is also a lot of gravel on the sites, making it difficult for tent camping. The bathrooms are beautiful and the hooks for your belongings are outside of the shower. Fishing gear is available, and the campground is kid and pet friendly.
