Aiken State Park is a convenient and well-maintained camping spot in the Midlands of South Carolina. Situated just 15 minutes away from downtown Aiken, its a perfect escape from city living. The campsites offer electricity and water hookups, and while the bathhouse can use some updates, its still kept clean. The pine forest surrounding the campground is picturesque and peaceful. During our stay on a weeknight, there were only a few other campers, which made it very quiet and dark at night. The walking trail around the park is a nice way to explore the area and the canoe/kayak launch site on the Edisto River adds a fun activity for those who want to paddle. Theres even an artesian well at the canoe launch, so bring some jugs!

Aiken State Park is a beautiful campground located in the Midlands of South Carolina. The campground offers 19 standard sites with electric and water hookups, 6 full hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer hookups, and a primitive group camping area. The campground is convenient to restrooms with hot showers. Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. The park offers a variety of activities including camping, hiking, fishing, and picnicking. Visitors can also enjoy the beautiful South Fork of the Edisto River.
