GenieSummary
Lakota State Park is a great campground for families and adventurers alike. With lots of play areas for kids, plenty of hiking and biking trails, and spacious sites, its the perfect place to get away from it all. The sites are easy to get into and level, and there is plenty of space between you and your neighbor. There is no water or sewer onsite, but there is a clean and well-maintained dump station with two lanes. There is also a grocery store nearby if needed. Cell service is limited, with only one bar of reception, so it is not ideal for those who need to stay connected. Local TV stations are available, as well as satellite in some sites between trees. The Lakota Lake is dry, but it is a nice place to be, even if it rains the whole time. There is a surcharge for non-state visitors, and the access fee is also applicable. Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash. Cigarette butts were found on the grounds of site 37E, so please be mindful and clean up after yourself. Overall, this is a great campground and we would return.
