This municipal campground in Castlewood SD is a great place to get away from it all. With 8 sites, each 60 feet long and equipped with 50 amp electricity, you can make a reservation with the city office M-F (closed Wed.) 9-5. The site pads are level dirt/gravel and the entire site/park has thick grass. The price is $25/night and the trees on the west side offer great shade. There is no host, so you pay at the drop box in the center. The campground is beautifully maintained and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

From The Campground

Castlewood City Park Campground offers six electrical campsites on the south side of Memorial Park, featuring fire pits, dump station, disc golf course and picnic tables. The campground is located on the west end of town, adjacent to a city park with a football and baseball field, two new playground complexes, horse shoe pits and an enclosed picnic area. The campground is also close to Lake Poinsett Recreation Area, which offers hiking trails, swimming, boating, skiing/tubing, golfing, dining/entertainment, and relaxing.
