Big Pine Campground in Custer, SD is the perfect place for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway. The staff is friendly and helpful. The proximity to Custer State Park and other nearby attractions is great. The well-spaced sites are surrounded by woods and offer great views. The bathrooms are clean if slightly outdated. There is a game room for kids to enjoy foosball but some games may be a bit overpriced. The wifi is fast and reliable. However, campers should avoid parking their vehicles in the middle of the entrance/exit when checking in/out in order to not block others. Some sites may not be completely level, and the showers can sometimes run scorching hot or cold. Overall, the Big Pine Campground gets a thumbs up and is highly recommended.

Located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, this campground has earned a five-year 'Hall of Fame' award from TripAdvisor. The 2023 camping season begins on May 1st and ends on October 4th.
