Sunset RV Park in Custer, SD is a small and peaceful campground that offers full hookups and large sites with no shrubs or barriers between them. Although there are only 8 sites, the campground is perfect for base camp to explore the beautiful Black Hills. The campground does not offer laundry, showers, or bathrooms, but full hookups work without problems. The Wi-Fi works well enough to stream Netflix with no speed issues. The hosts were friendly and provided plenty of information and brochures about the surrounding area. Overall, Sunset RV Park is a no-frills, un-touristy park for an excellent and quiet stay.

From The Campground

Sunset RV Park is a small yet spacious park in the Black Hills that's geared for adults and seniors. Back-in sites with full hook-ups offering 30 and 50 amp receptacles, septic, and water. Located an easy 2 miles from all that downtown Custer has to offer and only 400 yards from direct access to the Mickelson Trail at mile marker 42. Private picnic tables, yard games, community fire pit, and pet friendly.
