De Smet Campground is a basic, no-frills campground located several blocks from downtown De Smet, at the rear of a local hospital. The campground is adjacent to a lovely city park with heavy trees and grass, and offers three spaces in a gravel Wellness Center parking lot and three spaces on the street, with a tall hedge in between. There is no water or sewer, but there are ten OTA channels available. The RV sites are across the street from the park, and the showers and restroom are clean with water available. Its a great location for families, with lots of play areas for the kids, and electrical hook-ups for relief from the weather. Its an ideal spot for a short stay, but not suitable for a longer stay.
