It only takes 45 minutes to visit popular attractions like Rushmore, Wind Cave, and Custer State Park, and 20 minutes to visit Rapid City, but keep in mind that it will take about 90-100 minutes to get to sites like Badlands and Minuteman Missile Silo. Overall, its a lovely spot that they would certainly return to.
