For 4th of July they had a BBQ for all that was great fun. This campground is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by the Black Hills and is conveniently close to Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore. It has a few RV full hook-up sites with 30amp, cabins, and tent sites, as well as a nice pavilion. The campground also has two pet wolves in a small fenced enclosure, which could use more space. The staff at the campground are friendly and eager to help, and they offer a complimentary cup of coffee at the café each morning. The sites are close together, so if youre looking for privacy, it may not be the best option. The campground needs some upgrades, such as better bathroom and shower facilities and some fresh paint. The roads to the campground are curvy and narrow, and can be difficult to navigate in an RV.

Tucked away on one of the most scenic roads in the Black Hills, Timber Ridge Campground is welcoming campers from near and far. You’ll be conveniently located near Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Center Lake, Lakota Lake and the Black Hills Playhouse as well as The Ghost Town of Spokane that you can get to right from the property. With a gorgeous backdrop, exciting location, and great amenities, Timber Ridge Campground is a great destination during your South Dakota travels.
