Sheridan Lake South Shore Campground in Hill City has well-spaced campsites that offer plenty of shade. The campground offers two beaches that are perfect for families with young children. Fire rings have cooking grates, which is perfect for cooking meals. Bathrooms were nearby and for the most part was pretty clean. Although the sites could be close, the distance from neighbors was still reasonable. Fishing was great just a walk down to the backwaters and kids can catch bluegills all day. The Centennial Trail is a great hike, and the park is located near several local stores.

Sheridan Lake South Campground is located along the south shore of Sheridan Lake and offers direct access to the lake. The campground has 5 large loops and many sites with lake access. It also provides easy access to the South Beach Area and the Flume Trailhead, making it a great location for a fun, family camping experience.
