Cottonwood Springs Campground is a small RV park in Hot Springs. The sites are spacious, but there are no hookups. You can fill up water at the restroom area before going to your site. Generator use is not allowed after 10 pm. The campground is conveniently located near several attractions, including Wind Cave NP, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, and the Mammoth Site. There are only 17 sites, so the campground is usually quiet. The campground host is friendly and helpful. The roads in the campground are paved. However, the road to get to the campground is a very large hill that is dirt and gravel, and it is in such bad shape that RVs bounce all over the place, so drivers need to take it slow. The campground doesnt offer views of the reservoir, but its still a pretty area. There are no showers or dump stations on-site, but there is a free dump/water fill at the Hot Springs Municipal Building that is convenient.
