Indian Creek Recreation Area is a beautiful campground located on Lake Oahe in Mobridge, SD. The campground offers two loops, A and B, with plenty of shaded and paved sites in Loop A, and gravel sites with some exposure to the elements in Loop B. The views of the lake and prairie hills are breathtaking from both loops. The lake offers plenty of opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating, and there is access to the lake from the campground. The campground can get noisy on the weekends due to kids, but its peaceful during the weekdays. One downside to the campground is the lack of water spigots, and there is only one location for filling water tanks. The sewer dump can also get crowded on Sunday mornings, as there is only one for all 123 sites. Check-in time is 4 PM, which may be inconvenient for some. However, overall, Indian Creek Recreation Area is a great place to visit due to the many things to do and the abundance of birds to spot.

From The Campground

The rolling hills and beautiful river views make Indian Creek an excellent place to camp, picnic and explore. Park visitors will find new adventure in this rugged land explored by Lewis and Clark in 1804. Indian Creek Recreation Area offers over 2.5 miles of hiking and biking trails. Along any of the three trails, a person can spot a variety of wildlife, from deer, raccoons, beavers, and bull snakes to turkeys, pheasants and orchard orioles. Bridge City Marina and Resort is privately operated under agreement with the Division of Parks and Recreation. Bridge City Marina and Resort offers boats slip rental, floating fuel dock, bait, guide service, c-store and several modern cabins.
