Lake Park Campground is a quiet place to stay, located in the town of Rapid City. It is close to a city park and lake for fishing (no swimming allowed). The campground has full bathrooms that are open 23 hours a day (closed once a day for cleaning) and a playground for kids. Each site has a picnic table. While there are no wood-burning fire pits, propane fire pits are allowed. There is great mosquito control, and the number of mosquitoes in the area is low. The vintage bathrooms and laundry room are well maintained. Throughout the campground, there are majestic trees. They have bike rentals and the lake behind the campground is stocked with brown and rainbow trout. The location is beautiful and its close to everything in Rapid City. There are grocery stores and restaurants three miles away. Although sites are close together, the staff of the campground makes sure that the facility is kept highly maintained. The full hook-up is 100%. Highly recommend it for camping.
