From The Campground
D & S Campground is a Missouri River camping spot in Akaska, South Dakota. The campground has 30 campsites with water, city sewer, and electricity (20/30/50) available for daily, weekly, monthly, or seasonal rental. The longer you stay, the better the rate. There are bathrooms with showers for campers, security lights, mature trees, fire pits, and picnic tables. The south campsites are popular with families with children. The campground is close to the children’s playground, church, Community Center, a supper club, restaurant, and bait/tackle shop. D & S Campground also offers eleven parking spots for boats, campers, or vehicles with electricity. The Swan Creek Recreation Area with two boat docks, parking areas, and a fish cleaning station is accessible via a blacktop road. A SD park sticker is required on your vehicle to enter the recreation area. D & S Campground also offers a lodge for those who want to stay but may not have a camper. Guided pheasant hunts, guided Missouri River fishing, and storage units for campers and boats are also available.
