Chief White Crane Recreation Area in Yankton, SD is a very clean and well cared for campground with well-spaced sites that are all paved and level. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the grounds are well maintained with clean bathrooms and showers. The campground is surrounded by amazing trails with great views and several fantastic playgrounds. There is a small beach and a dock, and a huge green space in the middle of the campground. The RV sites do not offer full hookups but the price for the amenities is reasonable. The campground tends to be fully booked on most weekends during the summer, but it is quiet and peaceful during the week.

Chief White Crane Recreation Area is a year-round campground located in Yankton, South Dakota. The campground offers 146 campsites and 10 camping cabins, making it a great place for groups to gather and spend the weekend. Visitors can take advantage of a wide variety of recreation opportunities, including hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and more. Chief White Crane is also one of the South Dakota state parks that offers the opportunity for visitors to see the majestic bald eagle. With its own facilities and the features of the other two state parks nearby, Lewis & Clark and Pierson Ranch, visitors can enjoy a range of amenities and activities.
