Cottonwood COE Campground is a great campground located near Yankton, SD and Crofton, NE with easy access from Highway 52. It is run by the Corps of Engineers and is well-maintained with great prices. The campground has spacious, flat sites with lots of shade and some with waterfront views. It also has a variety of amenities such as 20/30/50 electric at sites, close-by water and sewer, a dump station, and good cell service with T-Mobile and ATT. There is also a lot to do in the area, such as kayaking, fishing, visiting the visitor’s center, and more. The campground hosts are very friendly and the area is home to bison and wild horses. It is a popular spot and reservations should be made in advance.
