Hearthstone Point Campground is one of four campgrounds operated by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation on and around Lake George. Established in May 1927, the campground is located on the west shore in the southern end of Lake George, which is approximately 28,200 acres with a maximum depth of 190 feet. The campground offers camping facilities and day use areas, and is an outdoor classroom for young children (5-13) and their families through the Junior Naturalist Program. Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, and swimming. Shoppers will enjoy the nearby outlet malls, and everyone can enjoy the restaurants, theme parks, theaters, and historic sites in the area.
