Glens Cove is a low-cost campground that offers a variety of activities such as fishing, power boating, canoeing, kayaking, biking, and a quiet place to stay. The camp access road and all interior roads are well-maintained gravel. Showers and bathrooms are scattered around the park, and there is an honor system laundry on the hill near the entrance. The camp store is well-stocked with fishing gear and rental movies. The campground has 25 RV sites, 5 tent sites, and four waterfront cabins. Wi-Fi and rental motors and boats are available at the office. The owners live on-site, are very friendly, and go out of their way to ensure everyone has a great camping visit. The camping rate reflects Passport America discount, and seven days or more is $18. However, the sites are very crowded, and there is lots of dust due to the dirt sites. Additionally, there are millions of flies due to the close proximity of horses and their by-products. The swimming pool is indoor and seemed clean, but the dressing rooms for the swimming pool were fair. Visitors who prefer spacious sites and dislike dirt and flies may not enjoy camping at Glens Cove.

Thunder Rock Campground is located in the Cherokee National Forest and is a great base camp for kayaking or rafting the Ocoee River. The campground offers camping and cabins, as well as group camping. Amenities include picnic tables, tent camping, parking, and toilets. Water activities such as non-motorized boating are available. Some activities may have a fee. The campground is accessible and provides drinking water. Reviews are not available.
