Cosby Ranch is a great campground for those looking to explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The sites are level and gravel-paved, and the bathrooms are clean. Firewood is dry and available for purchase, and there is a store on-site that sells basic provisions, beer, and propane tanks. The campground is surrounded by lots of green grass and wooded areas, and each site backs up to a year-round creek. There is also a great BBQ cafe close by and a Walmart about 5-8 miles away. The only downside is that there is a permanent mobile home close to the pull through sites that can be quite noisy. Additionally, the campgrounds system can only handle daily usage, so you are not allowed to dump your holding tanks.
