Tanbark Campground is a scenic, reasonably-priced campground located on the convergence of three rivers. The staff is friendly and the amenities are nice. While our pull-through site was snug between two other campers, it was long enough so we didnt have to unhitch. The park is secluded yet easy to find off of I-40. Its a great no-frills campground for an overnight stay with fine hookups. The biggest drawback is that the sites are very close together, so there isnt much privacy. Pets are allowed but some owners do not clean up after them. The park has a small but good laundry room and there are stores and restaurants about ten miles away. While the campground is mostly occupied by long-term residents, the FHU worked without an issue. It would be best to avoid extending your awning as it may interfere with neighboring RVs. All in all, its quite peaceful for a good nights sleep, especially if youre traveling mid-week.

Tanbark Campground sits on 120 acres offering a clean, quiet park, located 9 miles south of Dickson, and 45 miles West of Nashville....and conveniently located within a 1/2 mile off Interstate 40. The campground offers both 30 and 50 AMP RV services, heated bathhouses, laundry facilities and more. There is a Love's truck stop, Subway, McDonalds, and a Convenience store within 1/2 mile and an abundance of Restaurants & Shopping in Dickson including a Wal Mart Supercenter, grocery stores, banks, churches and even doctors offices are a short drive away. Tanbark Campground is the ideal spot to rest during your travels or stay awhile and get to know the area and friendly southern hospitality.
