Boswell Landing is a great primitive campground located near Kentucky Lake. It is a backcountry site, so there are no electric hookups, but there are restrooms available. The campground is very quiet and peaceful, and is surrounded by trees for plenty of shade. There are lots of gravel pads with fire rings, a vault toilet, and a boat ramp nearby. The Buchanan Cemetery and the site of Fort Henry are also within walking distance. It is a great spot for a getaway, and on weekdays it is usually almost empty. Cell service is only good at one end of the campground. It is a great place for a group to set up tents and hammocks, with a beautiful view of the lake and bay. There is a dumpster located by the boat ramp, and wood bundles can be bought at the ranger station at Paris Landing.
