Smoky Bear Campground is a small and well-maintained park located on the east side of Gatlinburg. It has excellent amenities for its size, and many great hiking trails nearby. Despite some spots being a little tight, the campground features well-spaced sites and very friendly staff. The site is also clean and quiet. Although some campers have mentioned occasional road noise from Route 321, it is not unbearable. The park is perfect for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg, but close enough to visit easily. Overall, this is a great option for those looking for a smaller and more secluded campground experience.

Smoky Bear Campground & RV Park is located in the North East section of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, near the local favorites: Greenbrier and Cosby entrances. They offer 46 full-hookup sites with water, sewer, electric, cable and wifi, as well as tent sites and cabins. The majority of their sites are shady and roomy, with a paved road and no mud. They have a bathhouse that is very clean and wheelchair accessible, laundry facilities, a clubhouse with a full kitchen that seats 70 people, a community area with benches and a fire pit for events throughout the year, a store that sells snacks, gifts, souvenirs, RV and camping necessities, picnic tables, fire rings, a swimming pool (seasonal), a hot tub (seasonal), a playground, and a free book and DVD lending library. They are pet-friendly, but pets must be on a leash and owners must pick up after them. Some pet restrictions apply.
