What others are saying about this campground
Standing Stone Park is a beautiful state park located in the hills of north central Tennessee. It has 36 campsites, most of which have nice shade trees and are well-spaced for privacy. The park offers canoeing, camping, lodging, hiking, and many other activities. There is a small 69 acre man-made lake created by Standing Stone Dam for fishing and kayaking, as well as 8 miles of hiking trails. The campground has two small bath houses with a single coin washer and dryer, and a dump station located a half mile from the entrance. There is a quaint country store before the entrance to the park with a deli kitchen and self serve ice vending machine. The park staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the park roads are in good shape. Firewood is available outside the park, but not inside. Check in is easy, and electric and water pressure are steady. Some of the sites may be tight for larger RVs, and the pool is not open. There is no wireless or camp store. The only problem we had while there was parking in spot #17, which had a sharp backing in with substantial incline and entry drop off on one side due to rain wash-outs. There are two entrances to the park, one from the north and one from the south, the latter of which is limited to pulling a 30 foot camper with tight turns.
