The lower campground is just a grassy field with no assigned sites, but plenty of room to spread out. There are full hookups, but its first come first served. There are no activities, even though they charge you the same price as in season. The roads in the lower campground are in bad repair and some sections are simply not navigable for a big rig. Loretta Lynns Ranch is a rustic campground situated high up on a ridge in the woods, with steep, narrow paved roads. It is located just 2 miles from Loretta Lynns house, museum and other attractions. The campground offers full hookup sites, including water, electric and sewer, but no cable TV, satellite TV, cell service or Wi-Fi. The roads can be tight for bigger units and the sites are close together, so awnings cannot be opened. The sites are either paved or grass, and are not assigned, so it is a challenge to find level ground. There is a camp store walking distance away and a community firepit area with overhead strings of lights. The campground also offers a pool, creek and other outdoor activities. Unfortunately, the pool is padlocked shut during the week. There is live music every night, and the campground hosts amateur motor cross racing in early August.
