This campground is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. Located on Nickajack reservoir and with easy access from exit 158 of I 24, the campground offers beautiful scenery, quiet surroundings, and a nice beach. The park is well maintained and the seasonal sites are nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful and the manager was willing to take me to a pull through site looking right at the lake. There is plenty of room for kids to play safely and a huge bonus is the big playground area. The campground caters to both short and long term stays, but it is advised to call ahead to see if they have space before driving over. The park offers WiFi in a hotspot near the office, no cable, and Over the Air TV is spotty. The pull-thrus are half-circles so if someone is in front of you your ability to pull out of your site could be very tight. The park also has lots of trash cans and seasonal campers with their boats on site.
