Holpps Pine Ridge Lake is a hidden gem located in Monterey, TN near hwy 127. The family-run campground is not crowded and offers two lakefront sites for reservation a week before arrival. The campground has two basic block buildings for bathhouses with warm water, a camp store with all the essentials, plus kayak rentals, a deli, and Mayfield ice cream by the scoop! The sites are very level and offer easy access to the lake for swimming, fishing, or kayaking. The lake is calm and clear and is known to hold the state record bluegill. The surrounding area is beautiful with a farm and the lake, and the fog lifting off the lake in the morning is a sight to see. Holpps Pine Ridge Lake is perfect for a simple kayak float, fishing, or just sitting around the fire.

From The Campground

Holpp’s Pine Ridge Lake is a man-made 185-acre lake that was built in the late 1960s. The lake was stocked by the state with Bass, Bream, Catfish, Red Ear, and Crappie. You can come and enjoy your day fishing or swimming. There are sandy beach areas for swimming, pavilions with picnic tables and charcoal grills. Bathrooms and shower house were built in 2015. You can also bring your tent, camper or RV. In the summer of 2016, they offered primitive to RV sites with electric, water & dump station. There are no lake restrictions on watercraft, so bring your boat or jet ski. They have kayak rentals as well as a Camp Store with a deli and all your camping supply needs.
