Bandy Creek Campground is a great place for outdoor adventure. Located in The Big South Fork National River and Recreation area on The Cumberland Plateau, the campground offers spacious, wooded sites with plenty of privacy. There are tent-only areas, modern accommodations, sports fields, pools, and a playground. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, tubing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and mountain biking. The campground also has a swimming pool, volleyball net, and a visitor center with friendly, knowledgeable staff. The campground is never overcrowded, even in the middle of summer, and there are many scenic views throughout the area. There are food storage lockers at some sites, and the campground hosts several retreats. Charit Creek Lodge is an original homestead that can be hiked to from several start points and offers overnight accommodations and meals by reservation.

From The Campground
Bandy Creek Campground is located in the Tennessee portion of Big South Fork off of Highway 297, 15 miles west of Oneida and 24 miles east of Jamestown. The campground offers a total of 181 campsites: 96 trailer sites which offer water and electric hook-ups, 49 sites for tent camping, and two group camping loops with 19 sites in one loop and 16 sites in the other. All campsites include picnic tables, fire rings, and access to restrooms and showers. A dump station is located near the registration kiosk. The group campsites also have their own cook shelters and campfire circles. Additional facilities include a swimming pool, volleyball court, playground areas, and game fields. Bandy Creek Campground is open year-round on the reservation system.
